The shadowmageThe shadowmage is the Arcane equivalent to the Divine Hunter. Because most wizards do not come from large, organised schools, shadowmages tend to be individuals who have sought higher magical and thieving training from the inner cabal of a thieves' guild or a secret society. Their motivations are frequently linked to those of the organisation they have joined.
The shadowmage specialises in assassination, using his magical skills to enhance his already considerable abilities in stealth and surprise. Similar to the Divine Hunter, the shadowmage develops more slowly in magic than a fully-fledged mage, but gains new skills in poison, hiding and sneak attacks. Because arcane magic is particularly suited to enhancing combat and stealth powers, the shadowmage is the most feared of all assassins.
